Idea of a Nation - iv

Just found J. B. S. Haldane's description of India which matches my own(bold mine).

I also happen to be proud of being a citizen of India, which is a lot more diverse than Europe, let alone the U.S.A, U.S.S.R or China, and thus a better model for a possible world organization. It may of course break up, but it is a wonderful experiment. So, i wan't to be labelled as a citizen of India.
I haven't come across any argument in the secessionist movements that trumps this beautiful idea or this wonderful experiment.

The concept of a world government ( not the silly UNO kind), I first read about the idea in some work of H.G.Wells.
A sane idea which will be rubbished. And though we are a multi culture far different and more than the former USSR, USA or China, the currents within are so religious and parochial that the idea will be scoffed at like all ideas that may lead to survival of mankind.Don't you thinks o

I suppose survival of mankind is beyond the scope of any ideology. As long as ideologies, good or bad, don't control procreation then there is absolutely no harm to mankind.

It is not survival but quality of life that we need to bother about.

procreation - that leads to survival of some kind.I think the agenda of some religious and also political ideologies is to procreate and hope to survive.
As for quality, what you and I categorise as quality is not what is held as quality at large.
